We are an international non-profit organisation working in the areas of literacy and gender equality in education. Our London based (Canary Wharf) fundraising team is looking for support in the areas of event organisation and social media support. We have our signature annual fundraising dinner event in early October, and putting on this event requires support from an enthusiastic, reliable person with experience in events or logistics coordination, and prompt on meeting deadlines. Also, this person would be responsible for researching topics in social media and the UK charitable sector, while providing support on implementing our local social media strategy. This post would begin in June and extend through October 2014, and we are looking for someone to commit to 18 hours per week, either working from home or in our office (subject to background check). Days are flexible but are to be agreed in advance of starting. This is a great opportunity to gain experience working with a small team in a fast-pace environment in the charitable sector.
