I need some social media advice (Facebook & Twitter) for my new business

I need some social media advice - partly strategy and partly how to do stuff!
My business has just got started, we have a website plus Facebook page and Twitter account. I have some ideas about potential target audiences but am keen to avoid spamming or spending all day interacting on social media. I am a complete novice - learning fast but am looking for someone who's got good all-round knowledge and experience and who can explain things simply and within a short timeframe (this week)!
