Job Description: Freelance Social Media Manager (including Newsletters)
Company Overview: Emily Carter London is a luxury fashion brand specialising in luxury silk accessories and homewares, featuring Emily Carter's distinctive hand-drawn prints. Our products are sold globally, and we have a strong presence across various digital platforms.
Position Overview: We are seeking a freelance Social Media Manager to join our team and oversee our social media presence, including managing our newsletters. The Social Media Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing brand awareness, engaging our audience, and driving sales through effective social media strategies and engaging newsletter campaigns.
Responsibilities:
1. Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the brand's goals, target audience, and industry trends.
2. Content Creation: Create a consistent feed for Instagram (auto post to Facebook) that showcases our products, tells our brand story, and resonates with our target audience. Emily will provide most of the imagery and will have an idea of the themes of the feed but would like someone else to deliver the content and come up with new ideas.
3. Feed can consist of 1 – 2 posts per day, plus corresponding story or reel and we are keen to keep up to date with relevant trends and yearly calendar of events to maximise on post reach.
4. Social Media Management: Monitor and manage day-to-day activities on social media platforms, including posting, responding to comments/messages, and maintaining a consistent brand voice and image.
5. Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyse social media metrics, engagement, and growth to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for campaign optimization and feed back to Emily.
6. Paid Advertising: Collaborate with Emily to develop and execute paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms, optimizing targeting, ad creative, and budget allocation.
7. Influencer Partnerships: Identify and engage with relevant influencers and brand ambassadors to expand our reach, increase brand awareness, and drive traffic and sales.
8. Newsletter Management: Create, curate, and manage engaging newsletters once a fortnight to keep our subscribers informed about new products, promotions, and company updates.
9. Trend Monitoring: Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, industry best practices, and emerging platforms/tools, incorporating innovative ideas into our social media and newsletter strategies.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in the fashion or luxury goods industry.
2. Strong understanding of various social media platforms, their features, and best practices for organic and paid promotion.
3. Proficiency in content creation tools, social media management platforms, and email marketing software.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and creative flair.
5. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media metrics and derive actionable insights.
6. Familiarity with influencer marketing and experience in building and maintaining relationships with influencers.
7. Ability to work independently mostly but and as part of a team, handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
This position is freelance and will only require an hour maximum per day, we will offer £350-£500 pcm for the position depending on experience.
