SEO For a website

I have launched a park bench website.

I am looking to optimise this site for google/bing to reduce my adwords expenditure.

I am not looking for a website redsign at this time but would like to improve the rating of the site.

I have a very limited budget, initially half a day with a regular half a day work a month if the first half day was successful and I would expect this rate to hold unless an alternative rate card was agreed in advance of the initial agreement.

Google is the top priority followed by amazon and finally bing.
