Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We've just launched a new start up tech firm in the London Minicab comparison market. This market is getting a lot of coverage these days and is being seen as the next logical step for taxi/cab bookings.
We're now looking to get a press release written that covers our story from an interesting angle. Needs to be something that is interesting enough to get us some coverage.
Potential stories:
1. Both myself and business partner are from an investment banking background, both made redundant during the recession, so we decided to build this business up from scratch with virtually no money. Business is now live and operational with 40 firms signed up and over a thousand downloads on the app store.
2. As mentioned before our product cost very little to build, yet we are going up against the likes of Kabbee (who raised approx £3m to build and launch their product). Yet feedback is that our App is better than theirs.
3. We had this idea back in 2008, registered the company in 2009 and did virtually nothing with it until 2012 when we were both unemployed. So showing what people can achieve when pushed out of their comfort zone, or the amount of entrepreneurship locked up in this country by banks willing to pay high wages to have highly qualified/capable staff do mundane relatively simple tasks.
Also open to any other ideas...
