Description

Experience Level: Expert
Voice over artist needed to speak approximately 1,000 words. We plan to use your voice recording to give descriptions to our b&w footage and photos on our webpage. Global rights sought, in perpetuity, and with full editing rights, save that we will never use your words in such a way as might bring your name into disrepute. We will need you to record a short piece from the script to ensure your voice is suitable.

    'In August 1914, German doctors firmly believed what they termed the ‘steel bath of war’ would enhance their soldiers’ mental and physical well-being.
    They could not have been more wrong.
    Within months, doctors were treating young men whose bodies were undamaged but whose minds had been destroyed.
    Without any physical injuries, they were paralysed or had limbs contorted by violent seizures. They stuttered and stammered incomprehensibly, were blind, or deaf, or dumb or mute. Nothing in the doctors training or experience had taught them how to treat the seemingly endless parade of disabled men flooding the wards. Their response was to try and bring about cures using painful electric shocks or hypnotism'.
