Add a little music to my song

Hello! I'm just an amateur singer and recently recorded (with a professional sound engineer) a short song with me playing the ukulele. The song is only 2:30 in length, but I'd like to add a little strings, or something similar towards the end. Nothing major, but it would give the song some "pop". I downloaded Garageband, but it seems pretty complicated to me. Can anyone help? Thanks!
