I need help! I'm a bedroom DJ who wants to get back to streaming. I've recently upgraded my laptop and I can't get it to work (worked on my old one). "It" being the crazy amount of interlinking pieces and combinations across 3 or 4 bits of hardware and 3 softwares. My set up is as follows
Hardware
- New top spec Dell XPS 17 9700 (64gb RAM, Intel i9 8 core. 2TB SSD - pretty bad ass)
- iRig Stream
- Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 (which literally yesterday but not sure I have the right cables for it and the website doesnt explicitly give instructions on DJ set ups. Maybe I've bought the wrong thing, I dunno)
- Pioneer DDJ SZ hooked up to 2 Rockit 6s and a Rockit 10s (has a built in amp so that takes care of one extra complexity - praise the lord)
Software
- Windows 10 (all up to date)
- Serato Pro 2.4.2 (latest)
- OBS (latest)
- Twitch (account all set up with stream keys etc - worked in the past twitch.tv/davesteak)
My problem is this OBS seems to 'see' the Line in for the iRig Stream, but I can't get any sound out of it.
There is something funky going on across the myriad of settings that I keep tinkering with over and over again. I think the hardware is all fine and I trust OBS to be well built. I think its something in Windows (one of the MANY places you can tinker with audio and sound settings)
I'm one of these people that loves music but isn't overly technical. So I end up endlessly tinkering with settings across all the things above (particularly the software side) and getting nowhere.
I need a clear head and someone who knows what they're doing.
I would be very grateful to learn if you can help me or not.
Thanks in advance
Adrian
