Description
Experience Level: Entry
Hello!
We are a small hobby podcast looking for a new editor as our current editor now has a full-time job!
We release an episode every two weeks, although often record in batches.
The interview is typically 35-40minutes although on occasion they are sometimes longer or shorter.
We use Riverside and so you will receive a seperate audio file of each microphone which makes editing much easier!
From each episode, we require a full-length episode edited with an intro and outro added, remove background noises, umms and ahhs, and also any parts that we repeat ourselves, plus the standard audio quality edit like equalization, compression etc.
We then require a second MP3 file which is of the first half of the interview only, and which has a different outro.
The files then need to be uploaded to Google Drive.
The entire job always took me around 60-75 minutes using the template I created, although our editor said it often takes him a bit longer because he is more meticulous than us.
We use Slack to communicate and so you will need to be comfortable with that.
We pay a flat rate per episode. Sometimes an episode is longer or shorter but in the end it balances out.
If this job interests you, please let us know what your per-episode rate is and an example of your work. We will ask our preferred candidate to create a test edit of the first 10 minutes of an episode and should we decide to move forward, you will be paid to finish that edit.
Thank you
Kirstie

The budget is too small for a 40-minute episode. Maybe increase it to €50?
