Fixing audio on video projects

There are several videos ranging from 3min to 15 min - there are 3 lawyers having a discussion - 2 of the lawyers have lavelier mics and sound good - the 3rd person is just picked up by the other mics, his voice sounds a little distant (although volume is good). slight room distortion echo and muddiness - I have applied basic tools in Adobe Premiere, especially multiband compressor to the complete audio track - but when trying to just adjust problem areas with dereverb or dehum, it makes the audio worse - I am hoping there are better, specific tools for fixing audio that will be effective for this issue - all details to follow pending confirming that this fix can be accomplished - can upload a small sample file later upon request
