Description
Experience Level: Entry
SHORT VERSION:
Professional virtual assistant wanted by a successful social media marketing consultancy based in California, USA. Start part-time, move to full-time with higher pay as your skills reveal themselves. High-level computer and internet literacy required with a heavy slant towards the technical. Please be professional and well spoken and possess college level writing skills. Pay commensurate with experience. Great opportunity for future job growth and advancement.
DETAILED VERSION:
(BTW, it's not lost on me that my search for a Personal/Professional Assistant would have gone a whole lot smoother if I had a an Assistant to do it for me! Ha! Would you have gone about it the same way I did? No response required, just wondering.)
YOU:
Experienced, Multi-Talented, High IQ, Resourceful, Street-Smart, Internet Ninja
The job objective is to make sense out of a rapidly growing, but unorganized small social media marketing consultancy (read: "one man show"), take some mental ownership and work with me to get the operation onto the proverbial next level. Organization, diligence, and integrity are all key.
You have to be able to maneuver your way around the web like a ninja. There isn't a task you could get that you don't either already know how to do (experienced) or can get around to today (multi-talented) or could learn how to do (high IQ) right away (resourceful) or know how to buy some time with me until you can find the right way to do it (street-smart) and do this all on your laptop, iPad and smart phone (internet ninja).
THE BUSINESS:
Brands (with a minimum 10 million dollar annual revenue) hire me to conceptualize, design, deploy, execute, manage and refine digital media marketing campaigns. I manage tens of thousands of dollars in client ad spends a month; I'm extremely well versed in all aspects of social media and SEO marketing. All day, I'm in Facebook where I manage my clients' Business Pages, set-up and manage contests and sweepstakes, run hyper-targeted ad campaigns, check usage stats, etc.
I'm also in Google AdWords, Google Apps, Google Analytics, Photoshop, Blogger, Camtesia Studio, YouTube, Twitter, various back-end design tools, software design tools, website design tools, various saas websites, and more -- much, much more. I do all this in addition to creating new accounts, adding new services, putting out fires, billing, planning new campaigns, pitching new clients, getting contracts signed and it goes on and on and on.
I built this consultancy on referrals alone, and for five years I have consistently "Wow'd!" my clients. This has led to a steady, and now spiking, increase in business that is now threatening my ability to handle it alone (it's been this way for months now). It's time to delegate some authority to the right person and grow this puppy. You would be part of this.
THE JOB:
Here is a sample list of things to do. You don't have to read them all, just scan them to get a good feel for the job. (Of course, there is always a "Please" and "Thank you" around every request but I didn't want to type it fifty times. :)
"Go to photo site and bookmark some pages around the theme of 'excited woman talking on phone' and ‘retro drive-in illustrations”.
"Use the credit card on file and buy two tickets to the big movie Friday night."
"Order an iPad for pick up in SF next week."
"Call colleague and ask him if he’s available for a 2:00pm phone call tomorrow."
"Call Client V and get their dealership Twitter login."
“Pick a winner for the Facebook contest for Client Z.”
"Finish “FAQ” website page for Client B."
"Prepare product demo for prospective Client Q."
"Make sure all contracts for new proposal are in. March 30 deadline."
"Set-up a WebEx meeting for next Friday for up to 25 people. Confirm at least 15 RSVPs or postpone the event..”
"Find a Photoshop designer, work within the normal budget, and order those graphics for Client X. They have to be approved by the end of the month to give us enough time to do the job comfortably."
"Set up a Gmail account for that Client R and make sure their Client Profile is up to date."
"I'm double booked Wednesday of next week, please fix this."
"The client wants a report on their Google AdWords spend for March."
"I'm changing health insurance companies, please compare quotes from Company X and Company Y and present that to me in two weeks."
"What is due out today, tomorrow, Friday?”
THE OUTLOOK:
While the job will start on a limited basis, I envision it becoming much more within six months.
INITIAL COMPENSATION / WORKLOAD:
This job starts at $10-$15 hour and 20-30 hours/wk. Lots of room for advancement.
