I have a script which checks a database for a possible match in 10 columns and if a keyword is found then a link to that particular profile / record is displayed. The script is currently being used in a standalone site but I wish to add this to a Wordpress site if possible (hopefully it can be done) so that I can use the script on a template page when adding posts.
You can view the current script in action on the below page in the ‘Recommended therapists’ box:
http://www.hacti.com/health-definitions/acupuncture.php
Is it possible to use a post_meta field to modify the code so that instead of having to manually enter the relevant keyword it would insert whatever word I entered in the post page screen? For instance the keyword could be ‘Acupuncture’, ‘Counselling’, ‘Yoga’ etc but on the Wordpress site it would be generated from whichever word I enter.
I have already added the post_meta option into my Wordpress site using the below code so I can add additional boxes to the post page. For the purpose of this script the post_meta field has been added as ‘keyword’
http://themes.svn.wordpress.org/core/1.0/tools/write-panel.php
I would also want the code to be modified so that if no match is found in the database then a message saying “No entries have been found, please check back later” would be displayed instead of the bullet list
