Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We provide apps for hair salons, spas, private clinics, dentist offices etc. which allow their customers to view availability and easily request to book a slot they like. We recently released a new feature called "Search". We need an in-app explainer to make sure that customers understand how it works.
Deliverable:
5 screen explainer (wizard) for a new feature called “Q Search”, which we will use inside of our apps app - has to be really easy to understand, uncluttered, clean. Because actual app design varies for each client (see examples https://grolondon.gappt.com/ - please use Chrome for the desktop version), the explainer design has to be very generic and work with different branding & colour schemes.
We provide rudimentary text to go with each of the 5 screens of the explainer, but this is for design guidance purposes only!! We need you to come up with a text to go with each screen, making it as short and easy to understand as possible.
PLEASE SEE ATTACHED EXPLAINER EXAMPLE & GUIDANCE FOR CONTENT OF THE 5 SCREENS WE NEED (see also text below).
Screens:
1. “Q Search” is always available on booking screen - its icon is a little looking glass; tap it to reveal search bar at the top of the screen.
2. As you start typing in the predictive search bar, suggestions for possible matches are displayed below. Note: suggestions are based on appointment availability in the near future (for example if a type of appointment you're searching for is not available, the suggestion will not be displayed under the search bar). Tap one of the suggestions to filter the list of available appointments displayed below.
NOTE: for the visual of this screen please type “high” in the search bar; suggestions that appear under the search bar are "Half Head of Highlights" and "Full Head of Highlights", and the list of appointments shown below changes accordingly. Point to choosing “Full Head Highlights” to filter the list.
3. Search is "accumulative", i.e. you can add more search terms.
NOTE for visual: in the search bar add a space and the word “blow"; suggestions that appear under the search bar are "Blow Dry" and "Ladies Cut & Blow Dry", and the list of appointments changes. Point to tapping “ Blow Dry”.
4. Show that you can search by:
- Service
- Stylist name
- Time of day (e.g. evening)
- Day of the week or “weekend”
- And any combination of the above.
NOTE for visual: in the search bar add a space and letters “eve” => suggested filters below the search bar are "Evening", "Weekday" and "Weekend", and the list below shows that appear under the search bar.
5. To exit Q Search tap “X” at the top right to see the full list of available appointment slots again. When you enter Q Search next time it will "remember" your last search (convenience).
We need this ASAP.
