Description
Experience Level: Expert
Looking for an experience Windows 10 (UWP) Phone App Developer for a short term project. You will develop a UWP dialer and texting app that would allow users to make phone calls and send SMS messages through our custom user interface. You should be highly proficient in Windows Phone App development using C# and XAML on the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) for Windows 10.
Using our app, the user will be able to:
1. Initiate a phone call using UWP API for phone calls. However, when the call is being established and in progress, the default Windows UI should be suppressed, and instead, our own custom UI should be displayed (this is explained later in this document).
2. Initiate Skype call to another Skype user. However, when the call is being established and in progress, no Skype UI should be presented to the user. In other words, the user should NOT have to interact with the Skype UI in any way during this process (that is, Skype UI should be suppressed with the possible exception of an icon sitting in the system tray).
3. Send SMS to another number using UWP API. The interface for this is shown later in this document. The creation and sending of SMS should be done through our user interface and the default SMS App should not pop-up at any time during the process, even though the actual sending of the text message will be through the user’s service provider.
4. Send text message using Skype to another Skype user. The user should NOT have to interact with the Skype UI in any way during this process (that is, Skype UI should be suppressed with the possible exception of an icon sitting in the system tray).
As emphasized above, all the calls and text messages should happen transparently without the native user interface of either Windows or Skype showing up.
