Description
The type of program I am looking for is like www.checkmy.camera (Android) or www.checkmysystems.com (Windows).
Features Required:
- A test that checks the system core, communication line and recording system.
- Checks that the cameras are inactive or not connected to the system.
- Check whether the system is recording
- Checks the Time and Date.
- Must be for DVR, NVR and standalone IP cameras
- Send Automatic reports to clients, if there are any problem
- My Name and Logo must be on all the reports and emails
I would prefer a Windows based program instead of Android but can live with Android.

Hi Chris
1. Are you looking to create a broad-coverage product, for resale - specifically something that can cope with the thousands of different makes of camera on the market ? Or is it for in-house use on a limited range of types ?
2. How are you going to be accessing the cameras ? CCTV is usually on a local secure LAN (should be), so you need to be inside the LAN (or with access rights to it) to access the cameras. If this is to be a resale product, it will need to cope with many differing situations, so how do you imagine it being deployed - a "bridging" device inside the LAN, which can 'see' the cameras and then reports outward to a server ? Or is it only required to report within the LAN ?
3. How are you going to deal with credentials (security) for the cameras ? (Can't access without)
Please advise. I've been developing CCTV procucts for 25 years, can certainly assist, but need to understand what you have in mind before I can advise further.

1. Are you looking to create a broad-coverage product, for resale - specifically something that can cope with the thousands of different makes of camera on the market ? Or is it for in-house use on a limited range of types ?
A. This is for in-house, not resale.
A. Treat it as the device is inside the LAN
3. How are you going to deal with credentials (security) for the cameras ? (Can't access without)
A. The software will have a place for this.
The DVR/NVR I want to monitor are Hikvision, Dahua, Digital WatchDog
