Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Connect is a company based in Edinburgh in the UK and we provide a call answering service to our clients. They are businesses of all sizes and in a wide range of industries but they all have one thing in common: They need someone to answer their telephone calls for them. That’s what we do and the usual outcome when we take a call on behalf of one of our clients is that we take a message for them. The message is sent to our client by email or SMS but it is also stored in our database so that our client can log on to the Customer Area of our website and view their messages.
Currently the Customer Area of our website works ok on a mobile device but it looks better on a desktop device. We are currently creating a version of our Customer Area pages that is designed to suit a mobile device. That’s where you come in.
Rather than just have a web address that our clients would browser to on their mobile device to access the Customer Area, we would like to have apps, both Android and iOS, which our clients can actually install on their phone. The functionality of the app would be really simple: It would just store the client’s username and password for our Customer Area and then, within the app, open the mobile-friendly webpages that I described probably using Webview.
We will be producing all the mobile-friendly web pages, we just need someone to produce the app ‘wrapper’ for it.
