This project is the trial period for a long term position. After the trial period, one candidate will be selected to be long-term associate of our company. As the company is growing, the position will transition from part-time to full-time.
Our company sets up social events for women in several cities across the United States. We are looking for a Sponsorship and Event Coordinator to work for us on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate is outgoing, self-driven, and able to associate with our line of business.
Job description: the Coordinator will be assigned several markets which she will be fully responsible for.
The job consists of two separate areas.
1. Prospecting and contacting local businesses (cold calling) in cities across the country and selling sponsorship package.
2.Setting up simple events for the markets (securing venue, catering, occasional vendors or speaker, etc).
The job is entirely telephone based and can be done from anywhere. Schedule is flexible, there are no set hours.
Requirements:
• Candidates must feel comfortable prospecting, cold-calling, and negotiating via phone.
• Must get in contact with business owner or decision maker and close the sales.
• Must be persistent and make follow up calls and send emails.
• Must be able to have personable conversation with business owners and build relationships.
• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must have outstanding problem solving skills and conflict/resolution skills
• Must be computer literate
• Must have extremely professional manners (both via phone and written)
• Must be a native English speaker (no accent)
Please apply stating your experience in sponsorship and/or advertising sales and in cold calling.
Please note that our company operates in the USA, and all telesales calls will be made to US companies. While we do not restrict freelancers from the UK, you need to consider the time difference and the cost of international calls.
