Experience Level: Entry
We are about to launch a virtually new service in the sphere of elderly care. Instead of carers in the traditional sense we are going to bring to the market an unusual and more cost effective approach. Our aim is to offering an Au Pair instead of the conventional carer. This is not totally new concept and was recently well reported in the daily Mail. It should be understood an au pair is a personal assistant which is a different category to a CARER. Carers come under the CQC and are able to handle the patients, washing WC etc. whereas a personal assistant can do everything else.. but! With the huge financial burden involved for many people (often having to sell their home) this is a good option for many. Indeed why not live in companions have been around since the 18th century. Obviously where critical care is involved.. alzheimer's etc. we cant assist. What we offer it benefits have to be conveyed effectively in a short press release/locally- news/TV and radio etc. We would also put it out nationally but not expecting much from it. We do not wish the PR to go out on a freebie neswirw.
