Medina Publishing is shortly to publish and will launch at the Isle of Wight Music Festival 2016 its latest book entitled "The Last Great Event - When the World Came to the Isle of Wight" this was in 1970 which, of course, you will all remember!
This is the second book on the historic Isle of Wight Festivals published by Medina, the first being "Stealing Dylan from Woodstock" which was well received and reviewed Internationally. The Last Great Event, like its predecessor, will include never before seen pictures and stores. Stars appearing included Jimi Hendrix, Leonard Cohen, Jim Morrison, Joni Mitchell, The Who, The Doors - we could just go on.
We're looking for a media marketing and publicity person to pick this up and run with it before publication and ongoing from the moment it comes off the presses in May, and hits the market which you will have been pre-prepared as the incumbent.
Tasks will involve PR, press releases, targeting music broadcast, print and online media for reviews and arranging author appearances (with music and film) and interviews etc.
Keen interest and knowledge in and subject matter are essential as are awareness of relevant media outlets to approach.
Budget is given but consideration is being given to a results bonus.
No passport required for travel to Isle of Wight!!
