Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Would like to bring to your notice that we have a new project, please find below the specs along with the study material for your reference.
• Country=Germany
• Methodology= Web CATI
• Survey Language= German
• N=50
• LOI=20-25 min
• Deadline= 10th Jan 2018
Please find attached the questionnaire along with the German and English Test link for your reference. The stimulus is here- this is the link that you will read out to the respondent for them to type into their browser. https://tinyurl.com/11142223
The audience below will be open over the Christmas period so we do have potentially 4 weeks to get n200 however it would be slowed down from 22nd Dec to 1st Jan I expect.
• Castrol are launching a service in Germany following its establishment in Malaysia and Spain.
o The service is focussed purely on IWS (independent workshops – so NOT franchised workshops such as Ford, BMW, Honda, Opal etc) – see full definition below
o The service allows consumers to select and get quotes from Castrol quality controlled workshops when they need car maintenance.
o Independent workshops (IWS).
These are workshops that repair and maintain vehicles but are not authorised by an automobile manufacturer.
In most cases they will be local, single-sited workshops that service second hand or out of warranty cars.
o The IWS would pay a monthly fee to be on the website and this includes a digital consumer engagement and job management system including an electronic diary. In addition, the system will generate leads for individual IWS.
o Research is now required to understand
How IWS current advertise and promote themselves
How much work from regular repeat customers and word of mouth versus new business
Business ambitions
Typical types of job undertaken and average value
Views of Castrol, the proposition and competitor offerings
Would they pay the proposed monthly fee
Reaction to the proposed flat fee per lead overall (regardless of job value)
Reaction to proposed flat fee per lead for different types of job at different values
For each job type, if fees are too high what is the maximum they would pay
• Approach:
o The research will be run as a monadic price test with a sample of 200
o We would complete the survey as WebCATI – so respondents are recruited on the phone, you give them a web link to put into a browser, we stay on the phone and complete the survey with them whilst they view the materials/stimulus online (we will host all materials online)
o The survey will be 20-25 minutes long with 4 open ended questions.
• Sample:
o Provided by you
o We know there are over 40,000 IWs workshops in Germany so the sample size is definitely there for you to place a big team on it if needed. The key is the deadlines. We have to have n200 by the 10th
• Screeners:
o The respondent must be the business owner or director level adverting decision maker (in bigger IWS).
o No other screeners unless related to quotas below
• Quotas:
o As per the table below
o National geographic spread required
• Deliverables:
o We will script & translate into German
o We will provide you the survey links and the a weblink for the online stimulus – this link will be a short link so it can be read out over the phone (we find that emailing respondents the link is not efficient as many say they don’t have it, it is caught in junk etc etc)
o Incentives – please recommend incentives to be used/split out your costs
o It is 100% vital that only native German (‘mother tongue’) speakers are used – German cannot be a learnt/2nd language
We can use Austrian Germans but NOT Swiss Germans in case you have any
SAMPLE We will test 2 price points (n100 interviews for each)
Up to 5,000 litres of engine oil used per year 40-60 per price
Over 5,000 litres of engine oil used per year 40-60 per price
Total 200
Castrol users/non-user split (non users must not reject Castrol) 50%/50%
Let us know if you have any concern/query, please let us know the feasibility and the best quote for the study.
Look forward to hear from you at the earliest.
