Recruiting Sales Officer
We’re looking for a sales person (sales officer) with prior experience of either telephone sales or telephone marketing. We don’t do cold calling. Virtually all our leads are warm or hot as they are previous clients, or interested parties who have contacted us through our website, social media, or email marketing.
Our digital marketing plus our current client database provides a wealth of data which will be used to highlight who we need to talk to on the phone about new training courses. Experience using a CMS is required as our data is managed through such a portal.
Initially, you’ll work with our Director to implement our telephone sales strategy across our various services and then take overall responsibility for the delivery of the plan. Closing sales will be the key priority of the role which may develop to include other forms of sales communication.
Initially the role is part time (Equivalent to 3 hours per week, £20/hr) and would suit a freelancer or somebody looking for a flexible working arrangement. However, over time we expect the scope of the role to grow, and it could eventually become a full day per week or more position for the right person, all carried out remotely from our office.
Responsibilities
Develop, manage and delivery of First Aid Training Co-operative’s sales activities to follow up on leads and increase sales across our range of courses and services
Answering questions about products or the company
Asking questions to understand customer requirements and allow us to best tailor our services to the customer
Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information
Manage sales data in our ‘Sales Opportunities’ CMS.
Provide regular sales report on progress and analyse performance data to understand current performance and identify potential improvements.
Support with the promotion and management of individual conferences and workshops
Skills and Experience
Ability to logically record data and priorities
Able to work independently and take ownership of own work.
Proven experience as telesales representative or other sales/customer service role
Good knowledge of relevant CMS software
Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects
Excellent knowledge of English
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection
Experience and understanding of First Aid and the First Aid Industry would be an advantage
