Experience Level: Intermediate
A business friend is reluctantly seeking to sell his replica Spitfire aeroplane and with no knowledge of the industry, contracts or where to start I am looking for a aircraft sector professional to broker a sale.
From the information given - and I have seen the plane in its hanger near Hertford this is a truly remarkable aircraft, G-CCZP with the 'JWP' squadron markings is accurately based on the WW2 MkVIII Spitfire 'JF343' which was built at Eastleigh in March 1943 before being attached to 92 Squadron for active service in the Middle East and North Africa.
'JWP' was meticulously built in every detail to a very high standard and has only 75hrs. total time.
The Jabiru flat eight engine is complimented by a custom twelve port stainless steel exhaust which sounds fantastic.
The MTV18 constant speed propeller was specifically matched to the Jabiru engine at the MT facility in Germany and provides outstanding performance.
The airframe is stressed to support aerobatic operations and 'JWP' has been an admired performer at the prestigious Old Warden air displays in recent years. Has various flying certificates and is taken out to a few displays.
A indicative sale price of £150K has been placed on the plane but guess there is scope for discussion on this figure.
