SALES MANAGER
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, well connected sales individual with a fashion wholesale background looking to pursue a career in B2B sales and marketing management and is keen for a challenge. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with ambition, initiative, creativity and a desire to be part of a new and fast growing company.
Responsibilities
The role requires you to promote and sell across the client’s portfolio of brands within the mid and high end markets, increase client database and develop client relationships with mid/high end retailers, department stores, independents & agents. It’s key to get the innovative product lines in front of decision makers. You will be required to travel throughout the UK and potentially worldwide as speed to sell our innovative product lines and take market share on a global scale is key. You will also be required to distribute samples and catalogues of the lines to prospective buyers, developing efficient marketing strategies to increase sales and essentially maximizing the company's client base through excellent customer relations.
In order to enhance the client base you will be involved in addressing the customer's concerns and product-related, distribution issues in a professional manner. In addition, the job also requires that you analyse the market in order to gain prospective clients, while maintaining current ones.
The candidate will already have established contacts and play a key role in growing the business and lead the way in terms of Business Development.
You will also be required to set up & maintain the showroom to agreed high standards and in line with company policies and procedures. You will have sole responsibility for monitoring, logging & coordinating the location of all samples, including packing & shipping of samples and the completion of associated administration. You will also be required to represent the organisation at trade exhibitions and events.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Good buying/category decision maker contacts within mid-high end retailers, department stores and independents, UK and Internationally
* Contacts with independent distributors, etailers & sellers in UK & Internationally (desirable)
* Experience in strategic planning and execution of wholesale sales/marketing activity across UK and worldwide marketing responsibilities such as producing look books, POS collateral, photo shoots, GWP, print and web campaigns, casting models, product development and management of the retail ambassador programme. I efficiently managed relationships with multiple external agencies for PR, web, campaign and catalogue design.
* Ability to direct the company's sales program & account for P&L
* Ability to assign sales territories, set goals, and establish training programs for a sales and marketing team/sales and marketing interns as well as operating incentive schemes to motivate the team.
* Experience in attending and selling at trade shows (UK and international)
* Great negotiating skills, objection handling and closing techniques
* Excellent communication skills and a broad knowledge of current fashion trends
* Ability to analyse market trends and study competitors' products and services
* A real passion and sound knowledge for the industry with a strong commercial awareness
* A knowledge of a wide range of marketing and advertising techniques and concepts
* Managing the production of promotional material
* Outstanding organisational skills and ability to adapt with a positive attitude
* Experience of working under pressure in a fast paced environment
* Excellent professional standards and good presentation
* Background in selling lingerie & infant wear ranges into mid-high end markets would be a distinct advantage.
This is a role for a self starter keen to work in a challenging environment to really make their mark with great career prospects.
An element of brand management is required with the role also. To be able to have an instinctive feeling about future product concepts, good analytical and IT skills, work on market and customer research, and ensure that brand values and company image is followed.
