About us:
Fixed PC Ltd is a well established IT leasing and IT support company. We offer leasing of all IT related equipment and software with combined IT support services to businesses of all sizes, anywhere in the UK. We offer a number of unique benefits to companies such as the ability to upgrade after 18 months and also purchase the equipment outright after the lease term has expired. Our lease terms are set over 3 years with an upgrade option after 18 months, and all lease agreements include unlimited remote support and installation of equipment, with a 24 hour response time.
IT leasing is relatively new in the UK as companies tend to buy equipment outright, but it is extremely popular in the USA where businesses already know the benefits of leasing. Many UK companies do not know that they are able to offset the full amount of equipment used for their business against the companies taxable income, which is a significant benefit to the business, essentially allowing them to write off the full cost of the lease over the agreed term. Leasing also allows then to spread the cost and accurately budget for overheads during this term, which is well received in these difficult financial times.
Given these significant benefits, we have found it relatively simple to sell our products and services and have established a significant client base which we are now looking to rapidly expand on and develop our company in the south of Britain.
We want to drive sales and boost revenues in the south, beginning immediately. We are setting ourselves aggressive sales targets and we are looking for help to achieve this. As a result we are searching for talented, experienced, part-time sales executives, with a strong background in appropriate industry sectors, to work with us to realise those targets.
As each sale requires a significant initial investment from us, there is no salary for the role, but there is uncapped sales commission of 5% from the total 3 year revenue on every sale you make. We will also offer 3% of the total revenue if you can generate a lead which results in a sale. We have staff around the UK which can visit clients so leads are just as useful.
Our current sales are primarily made of laptop, desktop and server sales, but printers and software are also considered 'units' and will be included in your commission package. Given our current sales figures and staff costs, a small sale of around 10 units would be expected to yield around £500 commission, with more common sales of 25 units yielding around £1,500.
Any of our current sales team will tell you that the product is relatively simple to sell because of the benefits to each company you call. Once you have educated the customer to the benefits and allow them to understand the potential to offset the costs against taxable income, it is usually just timing. We will supply you with literature and pricing structures to make the sales process simple, and our team will take over the contract and handover process, you just need to make the sale.
The role is home-working and hours are totally flexible. You work as much or as little as you want to. We also plan to make a number of additional permanent, full time roles to join our current sales team, with a £30,000 base salary and uncapped commission, during mid 2010, so we will be considering all freelancers who take this role.
About you:
You're an experienced sales executive and you've got at least 5 years in IT and/or consultancy and/or agency sales under your belt. You're self-sufficient and self-motivating, but you're not working a full time job right now. Perhaps you're taking time out, perhaps on maternity, perhaps semi-retired, perhaps simply a victim of the economic down-turn. Whatever your circumstances, this role will offer you the opportunity to earn money on your own terms and put in the hours you can.
Technically you can be anywhere in the world, and we will consider global applications, though we are currently only interested in boosting our sales in the south of the UK with our freelance sales team. If you have some recommendations or have worked in leasing before then please get in touch, and we may even offer our permanent position.
Responsibilities:
We need to drive, at least, an additional £100,000 revenue in the next financial (Apr 10 - Mar 11) through freelance work and £260,000 more on top of that in the year proceeding. We know the business is out there and you will be responsible, along with other sales executives, for bringing it in.
Once you've made the sale, it's the existing team's job to take up the project management and delivery - this is a 100% sales role and don't worry about over-selling. We have an excellent group of partners and contractors who can pick up any overspill work.
We don't expect you to work all hours (though obviously we won't object if you want to!) - we're much more concerned about the quality of individual, their understanding of our business and who they can target than how many hours they clock up. We want sales, but not at the expense of our excellent reputation. As such, for this role there will be no specific sales targets to hit, but we will expect a basic weekly report of sales activity to keep us in the loop.
Finally, by joining our team you will also help us revise and refine our sales strategy, suggest ways we can help you with lead generation, suggest how we can improve our marketing materials, etc. since you will undoubtedly have some great ideas from experience. We will be completely open to your suggestion and guidance on this.
