We are in the process of refining our business model as a marketing company. Thus, we need to get a better picture of what our clients need. We serve small-ish to mid-sized companies in the US by providing strategic direction in terms of overall strategy, which tactics with which to engage and how content (messages) should be applied to each tactic/channel.
I need someone to seek out 3rd party research that will tell me the following in a well organized report:
What are the biggest headaches for small to midsized companies (revenue between $15 Million - $100 Million USD annually) looking to begin or expand marketing?
Different than challenges, what are the most common desires or expectations for marketing/advertising?
What are the most commonly used tactics (email, ppc advertising/seo, event marketing, web video, etc., used by companies of these sizes?
What are the most effective tactics used by companies of these sizes (opportunity to point out where many companies' strategies are failing)?
What is the average marketing budget for these companies? How is it divided (web, direct mail, ppc advertising, etc.)
If possible, demonstrate the most commonly effective campaign tactics.
The report should answer these questions, highlighting selections from the reports you found as well as links to the reports. No reports gated by purchase.
