Located in modern offices near Battersea Park and within easy reach of Victoria and Waterloo we are a fast expanding specialist UK publisher. Since forming in 2004 we have built up a successful track record in women\'s press, consumer lifestyle, travel media, employee publications and B2B markets, working across both print and digital media.
We have an urgent need for a media sales professional who can work for us on a contract basis to help launch a new trade magazine in the health / pharmacy sector for a leading UK trade association. This title will have a higher circulation than any other publication in this market and benefit from the loyalty and trust the association has with its membership
You will be joining the arm of our company responsible for B2B publishing which the company is expanding rapidly. Its current portfolio includes a number of leading B2B publications in sectors such as heating, plumbing and renewable energy.
The ideal candidate will need to possess a proven track record in media sales, excellent communication and presentation skills, good business acumen, be tenacious and highly motivated and able to build positive business relationships. A good knowledge of B2B publishing would be an advantage.
Your role and responsibilities:
- advertising sales across a B2B magazine, website and events
- achievement of monthly and annual sales targets
- sell and negotiate advertising to senior marketing personnel and media agencies
- use excellent communication skills to sell the benefits of our media
- face to face sales activity will be an important part of the role.
- identify new leads and develop new business
- constructive and proactive account management
- build positive commercial relationships within the market
- attend exhibitions and events
- obtain in depth market knowledge of trade sector
Key Skills Required:
Demonstrable track record of success in media sales, preferably in B2B publishing
- Assured and structured sales technique
- Articulate and persuasive manner
- Confident negotiator
- Numerate, well organised, good IT and admin skills
- Polished, professional and presentable
- Drive, tenacity and enthusiasm
You will be based in modern offices in SW London with great facilities, work within a lively and friendly team environment. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary.
