Description
Experience Level: Entry
I'm a motivational speaker, author and trainer based in Nottingham, UK. My topics of expertise are networking, relationships, reputation, word of mouth, mental toughness, trust, influence and personal impact. It's really interesting stuff! I head up the Global Networking Council, which features interviews and insight from the world's top experts in this area.
I also run the Professional Banking Academy, which shows bankers how to do all of this stuff. I belong to over 40 banking and finance groups on LinkedIn.
I need some support to handle my social media - Twitter, Facebook and mostly Linkedin. I mostly do this myself and have nearly 9000 connections on LinkedIn, 2000 on Facebook and 6000 on Twitter. But lately I'm finding it's taking a little too much time. I'd like to handle the more personal stuff myself and find an assistant who will take care of the more automated tasks.
The job would involve:
1. Turning content into updates. I have a number of interviews, books, blogs and guides that need turning into short updates with relevant links.
2. Searching for relevant blogs to post RSS feeds using automation to post automatically on all three channels. I use hootsuite for link RSS feeds, so somebody who knows that platform would be perfect.
3. Doing relevant searches to follow and connect with with the right people on all three channels.
4. Uploading updates in bulk (again, I use Hootsuite) to go out to various social media channels.
5. Posting my questions on LinkedIn and handling my answers.
6. Connecting with LinkedIn Groups, monitoring conversations and keeping me informed of things I should reply to.
7. Decluttering my followers and connections according to my instructions, particularly on Facebook.
The ideal person would be:
1. A good writer
2. Efficient with their time - social media is a place where people can get easily distracted.
3. Very comfortable and familiar with Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin. I need to work with one person who can handle all three channels.
4. Proactive and creative - someone who can suggest ideas to improve what we're doing and come up with ways to achieve things in a faster or better way.
5. A strong English speaker who is preferably UK based so I can talk in real time during my working day if needed.
I'd like to trial one or two people to start with and hopefully find somebody I can work with over a longer period of time. It's pretty basic I think, but will be a steady few hours a week.
