We are a fledling triathlon squad with 10 members and looking to grow to 20 members, with a youth and senior athletes. We are looking for sponsorship and we can give exposure to our sponsors through newspapers, magazines and social media/internet. We will be participating in major international competitions (some of which are televised), local UK events and we run coaching clinics and triathlon camps. We will look to feature our sponsors on our team kit and all communications and press releases. Where possible we can organise Event Tickets / Hospitality so that sponsors can clients or business acquaintances to events in order to ‘show off’ their sponsored investment. Our Coach (Musty) will organise special coaching sessions for staff, children of families of the sponsor and can children or families of the sponsor as appropriate. We would be happy to meet and greet clients or to give talks to employees about teambuilding,
motivation and what goes into becoming a Triathlete.
We have bios and photos of the squad members and are looking for someone to put together a professional prospectus and details of the squad. Useful material is attached and bios below:
Mark Crowne Age 50 Occupation Account Manager Triathlon is a brand new thing for me in 2014, and training with Musty is really helping me to bring together my lifetime of running (half marathon PB: 1:18:50), love of biking and teenaged swimming club experience for a shot at the Castle Howard Half-Ironman distance event in July 2015. Gone are the old days of endless grey zone running, punctuated by injury, and now replaced by a tough but varied training diet of swim, run, bike and gym sessions. The middle aged spread is dropping away, and an age group athlete is emerging. Bring on 2015!
Michael Gallucci Age 45 I am the MD and majority shareholder in a construction dispute resolution practice with offices in the UK, Cyprus and the Middle East. I have a Masters in Law (LLM) in International Arbitration and Construction Law and am a of the Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. We have 2 year old twins who come and watch me race when they are not turning our house upside down and emptying all their drawers and cupboards (which is their latest trick). I started triathlon in 2012 with a view to losing some weight and enjoying myself. After working with a number of coaches I have settled in with Musty who has help me to make great progress over the last 12 months. I have competed in over twenty triathlons and duathlons over distances from sprint to half ironman. 2015 is going to be a big year for me with a full race calendar booked with 3 x half irons, a sprint at the national championships and a number of 10Ks, half marathons and duathlons as well. I am slowly but surely working my way up through the AG field and it is my goal to make podium finishes in my age group in the next 2-3 years.
Andrew Mcclean I am a new member to the training team. michael introduced me to Musty last week and I have taken up the opportunity to improve my fitness and training. I have a busy home life with 4 young kids under 9 so never a dull moment. I ran the London marathon this year which was a great achievement and have always wanted to try out triathlons. I have planned a half ironman next year with some shorter distance events beforehand. I'm looking forward to pushing my fitness levels to see where this triathlon journey takes me.
Kate Couchman For my bio... I've always had a determined spirit so when a hockey injury had me flat on my back for 6 months, then walking with a walking frame, I knew it was just a hitch I had to overcome. Then when my epilepsy flared so I was having 100 seizures a day while I was doing my masters and orthodox medicine couldn't control them, I turned to the ketogenic diet and studied nutrition and naturopathy myself. So although I am new to triathlons, I am hoping my enthusiasm and determination will help me as I am loving the focussed training and variety offered.
