the project,
The footage documents a social theatre project that took place in Cape Verde (Cabo Verde), West Africa in 2009. It narrates the life stories of a peripheral population of the island of Vicente; it follows the process of an amateur theatre company trying to portray their surroundings; and it uses theatre to listen to their children.
We are at the moment a partnership of 3 non-profit organizations in Europe (2 of them charities), and eligible for EU media, education, and youth funding.
We have completed a short teaser/taster as part of the promotional pack.

the position,
we are looking for an experienced, highly motivated fundraiser, with an understanding of the creative and cultural international sector, to undertake a key role in this project
------ your role will be to identify and target suitable charitable trusts, foundations, ngo's and sponsors and make successful applications for funds from them. In addition, the fundraiser will be expected to explore opportunities in other areas of fund raising including: community, corporate and legacies
------- you will have a strong networking ability and possess skills that would raise awareness for this projects aims and goals
------ key to success will be the building of enough funds for the completion of the documentary
conditions,
we are aiming to raise app. £20,000-£30,000, and you will be paid a percentage for the amount you raised.
