We are looking for an individual who can work under their own initiative and enjoy selling. We are open to all applicants regardless of their previous experience, background or age.
This is a part time position which could develop into a full time one, initially 12 hours a week.
We are the Stansted Shuttle and Southend Shuttle, we also cover all other London Airports and South East ports, our product is not hard sales as we do provide leads and existing clients to help your portfolio. We do require you to generate your own leads and it will involve cold calling on businesses, travel agents and hotels/b&b’s.
As our Field Sales Executive, you will sell our services face-to-face, generating new business whilst maintaining strong links and up selling to existing customers. As the vital link with our customers, you’ll enjoy interacting with people, visiting both potential customers and building on existing relationships.
You will be based at our office in Basildon area.
You must have your own vehicle for which a mileage allowance is given.
Typically, your specific responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining and increasing sales of our company's products, and reaching the targets and goals set for your area.
• Establishing, maintaining and expanding our customer base.
• Servicing the needs of our existing customers.
• Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market.
• Compiling and analysing sales figures.
• Collecting customer feedback and market research.
• Reporting to senior managers.
• Keeping up to date with products and competitors.
Hours
Normally, you'll work 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, you may have to work longer when necessary.
You will be field-based, and will be required to visit your head office and customers. You will be required to attend conferences, trade fairs and exhibitions.
Essential Requirements
In your role, you will be required to have:
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills
• Good business sense
• Initiative and enthusiasm
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Good planning and organisational skills
• The ability to work calmly under pressure
• Good IT and report writing skills
• A full driving licence
• Well presented
You will need a proven record in sales and reaching targets, and previous sales, hotel, leisure, travel agency or taxi sales experience and knowledge would be an advantage.
