Since 2008 Squid had collaborated with leading names in the art, fashion and retail industry such as The British Museum, Tate Museum, Cirque du Soleil, Accessorize and Hamleys. Squids adult and kidswear range is stocked in 18 countries worldwide and was voted the most innovative company in London last year.
"Sales executive roles are where many sales professionals learn the ropes, and those who have worked and been successful in these positions are often highly sort after," say ISMM. From sales executive you can move on to become a sales manager or director.
So, what will I actually be doing?
As sales executive you will be expected to sell Squids adult and kidswear range by calling and sending follow up emails to prospective stockists. You may also be carrying out market research and canvassing for prospective clients so you will not necessarily be stuck to the phone.
Working as a virtual sales executive from your own premises, you'll be set targets and strategies by the sales director. Your day will be mostly spent calling and emailing buyers and persuading them to test drive the collection.
We work with user-friendly sales software called pipedrive.com. This helps you to be efficient in scheduling your activity goals, keeping your back free to focus on the most important aspect; feeding the sales pipeline with new deals and following up leads systematically. Email and phone systems will all be set up for you ready to go.
The nitty gritty
We seek a native speaking British candidate who is on European/UK time in order to work during peak times, which are usually between 9 to 4 weekdays. It is a very much typical desk job, you will be tied to the telephone and sitting at your workstation for long periods of time so it is not a career for anyone who fears feeling office bound.

A lot of telephone activity needs to take place to communicate with the right people; therefore, even with well-targeted and professional sales approaches, there will be some frustrating days.
Is there study involved?
We will also look for personality rather than academic qualifications. Training in telephone skills, company brand ethos and sales software are given to new candidates.

Shy, retiring types need not apply! You need to have plenty of confidence to be a successful telephone sales executive, as a charming and persuasive personality will help you sell. Other qualities that will help you up this career ladder are:

The ability to think on your feet
