Description
Experience Level: Expert
I would like to commission some research into an exhaustive list of Amazon add Ebay seller applications, their features, and the data they use. I am therefore looking for someone who is familiar with the amazon and Ebay seller environments and the data available (publicly, to sellers, and for ‘mining’), as well as someone who can logically and exhaustively identify the key metrics and thresholds used in the output. Beware, I expect this to be a relatively labour intensive job that will require some thought!
Please quote for phase 1 only, subsequent phases will be commissioned after the output from phase 1 has been reviewed (however i have included a brief directional description for context here)
Phase 1 – identification of an exhaustive list of amazon seller software applications. For example, applications like junglescout, camelcamelcamel, terapeak, zonguru, keyworX, Helium10, etc. etc... you can find numerous ‘lists’ reviewing these applications on the web... for example... https://amazonseoconsultant.com/amazon-seller-tools/ so perhaps reviewing these sort of lists would be a good place to start. I expect the output to be presented in a table – ideally in xls or google sheets – under the following headings:
1) Software category (i.e. product selection tool, ad-spend optimiser, etc... you can set these high level categories yourself – if software does multiple, please note which categories it covers) - please note, we should review these categories early in the process to prevent to much re-work as we progress.
2) Product name
3) Website link
4) Estimation of relative website traffic using an online traffic estimator (there are free ones) or a relative comparison using google trends
5) Description (please be concise and direct here... not just a massive copy/paste of their marketing or website)
6) Business model – i.e. paid at $/£ per month or year, perhaps at a tiered cost at different functionality (i.e. premium costs more but does x...) or free with (or without) advertising, or pay as you go, or limited time access... etc.
7) (Importantly!) – is a free trial available?
8) a high-level summary of any reviews (what's bad / good, what people do / don't like, etc.)
After this phase, we will pause to review and refine the output. If we are happy to continue, we can continue to phase 2 (for which you can provide a separate quote once the scale and required output is clearer – based on phase 1). This will involve the following:
a) Prioritisation and selection of applications of ‘deep-dive’ analysis
b) Screenshots and descriptions of key output dashboards and tables
c) Exhaustive list of key metrics / KPIs used, and decision thresholds applied (this will require a detailed understanding of how each application ‘works’)
d) An understanding of what source data is used, and how it is obtained (where at all possible) – this will probably require some googling.
A more refined scope will be made available for phase 2 on completion and review of phase 1.
In your response, please let me know when you will be able to start and how long you would like to undertake the exercise. I would like to be able to review draft progress after 5 to 10 applications have been reviewed to ensure you are on the right track.
I have included an nominal budget of £130 for this initial step, but please do quote depending on what you believe it will require. I want to get this done properly, but will be - to some extent - price sensitive in my selection.
Many thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
