Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
I need to have a mystery shopping exercise carried out to find out what the delivery costs charged by a range of retailers are for a range of items going to different addresses.
The addresses are around the UK inluding in the Scottish highlands, offshore islands and Northern Ireland.
I will give you:
- a list of links to the items I would like you to test,
- 12 addresses that I want you to use to get the delivery costs
- a spreadsheet that I need you to enter the information in to.
I need you to do the following:
1. visit each link
2. do a dummy purchase of the item - select it, register / login if necessary, and go through the shopping cart
3. enter the first address
4. note the delivery options that it gives and enter the costs in the spreadsheet
5. repeat for each of the remaining 11 addresses (NB you do need to enter the addresses - sometimes it quotes free delivery or gives a delivery price but not all options turn out to be available for all addresses)
6. record other data in the spreadsheet (item price, name of the seller, what country it is based in, whether it is a marketplace (ie ebay or Amazon), and what it says in its terms and conditions about delivery (eg does not deliver to certain areas or post codes)).
I would like you to do 80 items x 12 addresses. I have done a few myself and reckon that it will take about five minutes on average to do one. Some will take longer as they will require you to register (using the details I'll give you) to get the delivery costs, and some will be quicker. Therefore 80 should take 6-7 hours to do.
However, I need to do a lot more than 80 so I can accept more than one person to do the job (and if you do it well, you can do more batches).
Also, as a check, I will be getting two people to do each one separately and comparing the results to make sure they are the same. This will show any errors, which I will need you to fix.
I've uploaded a copy of the template which has a few of the links already in it. To show me that you understand the brief, and to allow me to screen out people who have not read it, please put at the top of your response what the cost is for standard delivery for the first item to the first address.
I'd like to have two milestones:
The first after you have done 10 items, send the sheet back for me to check that it is working ok
The second is after you have done all 80, again, send it back and I can check for any errors that I need you to fix.
Finally, the deadline is 5 days from when the proposal is accepted. Please don't bid if you don't have time to do it within the time limit.
