***This job has been reposted twice as the freelancers prior to this were unable to do the required research. Please bid carefully***
Summary:
This project involves looking at how similar venues market and use their space for event bookings as well as looking at the demographic that uses these services.
Suitable for:
Someone with a good grasp of the English language and a proven track record in delivering market research.
Background:
We are a London Cocktail Bar based in Covent Garden and we are looking to boost our midweek sales by hiring out part or the whole of our bar to clients for corporate parties and private events. We are relatively new to this area, so we would like to research the market and the competition.
What is required?:
Research to be based around central London venues, not necessarily restricted to pubs and bars, and may include other venues such as hotels. Research should be aimed at spaces sized to suit 60 to 400 people.
Market research is to include, but not limited to:
• Yearly demand of corporate event bookings broken down per Month
• Demographic of the market;
o the type of people, companies and groups that demand such venues
o each demographics’ typical budget
o average number of people per booking
• Market share make up, what companies are doing events and what proportion of the market do they hold.
• What features and benefits similar venues offer
• How similar venues promote their venues – what marketing methods do they use?
• The cost of similar venues and how those costs are broken down.
• Websites that specialise in promoting venues
o what their costs are
• PR companies and agents that provide event bookings of this nature
o what their costs are
A sample size of 30 venues should be used in the above where appropriate. Sources should be shown in all instances.
Project success:
Success will be judged by 90% of the information above being provided. None of the project amount will paid out if you fail to provide this. A 20% bonus will be awarded if 100% of the information is provided or if an exceptional level of information is provided.
This project is to be completed within 3 weeks of it being awarded. I would expect a progress report in weekly intervals.
Thanks
Tom
