We provide telemarketing services to companies, predominately for companies involved with complex sales in the consulting and information technology sectors.
The job is to provide telemarketing services to a new consulting client. The objective is to set-up 15 meetings (or more) for the sales team to discuss a discrete and compelling consulting proposition.
Target companies have been thoroughly researched and the quality of data is good. However, the contacts are cold and they are unlikely to have prior knowledge of the consulting company in question.
The role will require the telemarketing consultant to:
• Establish contact with the decision maker by telephone
• Pitch the proposition and qualify relevance/level of interest
• Record simple details of conversations on a spread sheet
• Make an appointment for a sales representative and/or consulting specialist to explore the opportunity further
• Confirm an agenda for the meeting (usually via e-mail)
• Get an appointment confirmation from the prospect (usually via e-mail)
You will have 1 month to complete the assignment although it is anticipated that it will take 10 days effort or less to complete. Because the proposition is compelling, the normal target would be to make 2 appointments per day so the 15 meetings target should be achievable with no more than 10 days effort.
We believe this target to be achievable because the proposition enables companies to claim back money they have spent and the consulting company does all the work for them. In addition, the consulting fees are paid out of the money that they get back. Because the money goes straight to the bottom line, if the company is eligible, it’s a bit of a no brainer. Also, the consulting company that you are making appointments for are the leading experts in this field with the practice being headed by the UK’s leading expert in this field.
• Full training will be provided regarding the proposition.
• This is a home based assignment.
• You will need to represent our company as if you were an employee in all dealings with the client.
• Experience of appointment setting for a consulting organisation is considered an advantage.
