Description
Experience Level: Entry
Objective: To initiate contact with potential advertisers for the digital magazine and follow up with them to secure advertising deals.
Responsibilities:
Identify potential advertisers that align with the magazine's content categories and target audience.
Conduct targeted outreach efforts, such as sending personalised emails or making phone calls, to introduce the magazine's advertising opportunities and schedule online sales meetings.
Create sales materials, including the media kit and sample marketing posts/banners, to showcase the benefits of advertising in the magazine during sales online meetings.
Discuss pricing options, negotiate and finalise advertising deals with potential advertisers, and provide clear instructions on how to submit marketing posts/banners.
Follow up with potential advertisers regularly to address any questions or concerns they may have, and provide outstanding customer service throughout the sales process.
Collaborate with other team members, such as the editorial team, to ensure that advertising content meets editorial guidelines and deadlines.
Utilise the provided sales tools and software, such as CRM, email marketing, and video conferencing tools, to streamline the sales process and maintain accurate records of sales activities.
Monitor and report on sales performance, including outreach efforts, meeting conversions, and revenue generated, to the sales manager.
Requirements:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate the value proposition of the magazine's advertising opportunities.
Sales experience, preferably in digital advertising or content marketing, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Ability to work independently and proactively identify potential advertisers.
Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time-management skills to manage multiple sales leads and follow-up activities.
Familiarity with sales tools and software, such as CRM, email marketing, and video conferencing tools, to streamline the sales process.
Ability to collaborate and coordinate with other team members, such as the editorial team, to ensure seamless execution of advertising campaigns.
