Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are looking for someone to generate sales for advertising space, in our monthly trade and leisure magazine.
We are a small and growing family business, based on the Warwickshire / Leicestershire border and distribute to 18,000 homes in Leicester. Our business is growing and it may be time to bring in some help. There are many orders out there that we just don't get the time to go out and win.
We are not sure how this position will work exactly, as we are new to taking anybody on. However, to begin with we feel telesales would be a good place to start. This can be on the back of mailshots that we send out and lists of companies we supply (to begin with), but very quickly we would require you to generate your own leads and report back.
We feel a few hours a month may be a good place to start, but the more sales you bring in, the further we can expand this, it's open to discussion and suggestion.
Eventually, for the right person there may be the possibility of them running the sales department for us, if this were of interest at the time?
One key factor I have to stress is we do not want pushy sales people, it just isn't our style. We are polite and use a consultative approach. We value long term relationships with our customers, built on mutual respect. There isn't really any need to be overly pushy, as the magazine sells itself, once we get the customer to take notice of it.
We are a friendly business to work with and we are hoping to release our second magazine in 2011, so now would be a good time to get on board. We would be more than happy for the right person to grow with us, on our current and future success. Full training and ongoing support and advice will be provided, you will be part of the team, not left on your own.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Richard.
