Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
(Note: this project is not going to be granted to agencies: I need a single point of contact - a single salesperson - from first contact on PPH to reaching the end of our prospects database.)
You’ll be looking to arrange sales meetings between me and a decision maker at some fintech companies. These companies arrange new kinds of investments and we are selling them our ratings services that grade the quality of their investments.
This project is in three stages. I've shown pay scales for each stage. (The budget shown for this project was a rough estimate for the first two stages).
STAGE ONE: LEARNING THE MATERIALS (£100 fee)
You take some time to take in the materials I supply (script, rebuttals and supporting materials) and to understand the industry and our services, and then we have a brief talk about the sales process and products.
I pay you £100 for stage one, with my thanks for your efforts, regardless of whether we both move on to stage two together.
If, after that brief talk, we both feel comfortable working together on this project, you move on to stage two.
STAGE TWO: EIGHT HOURS OF CONTACTING LEADS AND ARRANGING APPOINTMENTS (£ is your hourly rate)
In stage two, you will:
- Do eight hours of making sales calls/contacts to the prospects in the database provided to you.
- Establish that the person you reach is the decision maker and arrange calls or video conferencing appointments between them and me. (You can also arrange an appointment with someone else at the same company, but only if you’re told that this other person is the key decision maker for the product we are selling.)
- If necessary or appropriate, you will use other forms of contact to chase leads, such as email, but calling will always be your top choice unless there’s a good reason not to.
- Do high-quality logging of each sales contact attempt, including missed calls, left messages, their feedback on our products or website, as well as any objections they made, and what they say about who is the decision maker, and also any thoughts you might have on what is needed to win their business.
- Debrief me by telephone, PPH workstream and/or email, with the channel(s) to be decided by me.
For this stage, I’ll pay you your hourly rate on PPH, plus an expenses bonus for calling numbers in continental Europe.
STAGE THREE: CONTACT THE REST OF THE DATABASE (£ is your hourly rate)
If we’re happy to keep working together, you’ll continue to work through the database provided to you on the same rate as stage 2. We’ll agree at this point if/when we’ll need phone debriefings from now on.

You would be working with me for the duration of your campaign, so hopefully a beneficial, long term working partnership that extends beyond the initial eight hours!
I’m open to alternative suggestions on how we’ll work together and on remuneration.
The businesses we’re calling are European online/digital financial businesses, which are mostly very much like UK ones in terms of culture, so if you’re used to calling UK businesses that should be sufficient.
TOOLS YOU’LL GET TO WORK WITH
You'll get all the support you need from me, including:
- A script, including sales messages that have worked well in the past, a list of questions and rebuttals we have faced in the past - with good responses - as well as suggested follow-up questions for different ways the prospect might initially say No.
- A tip sheet with information about our product.
- Access to a database with names, titles, telephone numbers, as well as email addresses, website address and LinkedIn profile.
- Access to a calendar showing when I am available, so that you can arrange appointments without me slowing you down.
- Access to me by phone or email as much as you want, and I’ll reply quickly. I care about the time and effort you put in and ensuring that you’re supported and feel well!
- Any training you need from me.

Investment provider that have been rated by us see a huge boost in investor cash coming in. It's not unusual for our ratings to almost instantly shift millions of pounds into an investment.
Our focus has been the UK market, but we are known in Europe and around the world, so this project is to get investment providers based in Europe seriously interested in talking to me about being rated, and arranging a call with me to that end.
I believe I am the most quoted independent commentator on the industry in every single major national newspaper.
