Description: Ancrest and Company Limited are offering a contract for a Business Development Manager to work on a monthly retainer basis subject to a successful trial period.
We are a strategy and research consultancy which provides bespoke research and strategy consulting services to various clients. We work to transform the way businesses interact with their stakeholders by translating insights from market intelligence into strategic engagement initiatives. We also offer business development packages which incorporate our strategic communication services as well as offering lead generation and client management services.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for executing business development activities for the organisation as well our clients. We offer bespoke services based on strategic and consultative approaches. This means not looking at quick-fixes and obsessing over number targets but delivering quality and sustainable business relationships for ourselves and clients. Based on this we avoid pressure selling and overly “salesy” type business development approaches. We are looking for a Business Development Manager with the same approach who has an excellent track record of substantially growing businesses, maintaining long-term client relationships and turning leads into successful business opportunities.
We require the following skills and experience:
• Business Development Strategy
• Proposal Writing
• Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy
• Client Relationship Management
• B2B Telemarketing and Appointment Making
• Lead generation
• Client /customer database creation and management
• Skilled with the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs. Skills with Salesforce and updating WordPress also extremely desirable
The Business Development Manager should be comfortable to cover the following industries:
• Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences
• Energy and Natural resources
• Charities and Non-profit
• Public sector
• Start-ups and SMEs
We are looking for a strong and reliable candidate with whom we can develop a long-term partnership as the organisation grows. You’d be open to some face-to-face meetings with clients and expected to provide weekly updates on work.
There is a degree of urgency in recruitment as we have landed a big client and we need to draw up proposals for potential new clients within the next week. We’d be looking to conduct initial discussions/telephone interviews so please provide a number and best times of contact in your proposal.
