Essentially we are looking to sell a sponsorship package on our website, including a home page banner ad, ads on the fortnightly newsletter and possibly some periodic editiorial on these newsletters.
We operate a regionally specific website with an attractive demographic for advertisers - young professionals living in Manchester - giving us an average of around 7-8000 unique visitors per month, and the e mail newsletter goes out to around 5500 e mail addresses. Over the next 12 months our current growth rates should mean that we easily double these figures.
There are a wide range of potential advertisers who may be interested in reaching out to our database of members - obviously being a regional product it would be of most interest to companies with a Manchester presence / wishing to heavily focus on Manchester.
We haven't previously sold advertising on the site, so the package we propose is likely to be quite simple and we will probably only carry one or two advertisers to keep the standard of the user experience high.
Our intention is to provide you with around 25% of the revenue for securing the deal(s), which would be payable again if the client continued to renew. Expected comms for a 12 month package would be over £500, so if you had an advertiser lined up already or could secure one within a few hours then it would be a nice quick buck!
We also may be able to discuss opportunities for selling other packages for our core business on a more permanent basis if you are interested.
The ideal person would have good contacts around Greater Manchester or be a great cold caller! Probable advertisers include law firms, car dealerships / manufacturers, shopping centres and many more, so if you feel that this is something you'd be good at then please get in touch.
