IMMEDIATE! Right now! Action! Results!
(I'm going to try to give you all info you need right here so we don't have a lot of back and forth... So please read through this. I want as many people on the case as possible, so I can just extend the invitation to you without having to answer a bunch of emails.)
We need some paint-out-of-the-box, smart go-getters to represent us and put together some strategic alliances with online companies. We could to pay you $100 for every order you win for us, but we DON'T want you to sell ONE ORDER AT A TIME! We need you to sell ACCOUNTS: if you can line up some strategic alliances, you basically have that $100 as your budget to setup the alliance per order (keep what you can for yourself), and you will continue to earn $100 for yourself for the life of the account.
Compensation=commission: $100 per order won, plain and simple. If you have to spend some of it to deal with a vendor, or pay a cut to a high-traffic website for each order flowing through their site, then that's up to you. $100 is the budget to you per order. This could certainly be a great ongoing project for you to have in your back pocket as you are going about your day...slip in a few calls/emails for us.
Or, if you're more aggressive, unload your ammo on the top dogs out there and try to win some impressive accounts.
Do you see the potential? $100 per order with say www.LegalMania.whatever for a button on their Web site that says "Need a new logo?" (which links to us) and they want $10 per order, then you keep $90 per order--for life--as residual income. Whatever you can negotiate--that's up to you. Let your ideas flow...
Who are we?
a team of creative and marketing professionals.
What is our product?
(If you haven't already figured it out) Logo Design and other creative services: graphic design for brochures, Web development, search engine marketing, traditional marketing, and on it goes.
BUT our MAIN HOOK is Logo Design for small businesses. Everything else flows out of that because, EVERYONE needs a logo in business. That's the lowest common denominator and what we really want to push right now!
Sound pretty basic? Sure, but we are looking to dominate the market in 1-2 years through smart alliances. Something that only the diligent are doing faithfully.
Who is our target?
Small businesses.
I have an ad budget of $100 built into the cost of every package sold. Instead of my paying for ads, I'd just as soon pay you this amount if you can win strategic alliances for us.
The strategy (though not limited to my approach) might be to research logical online businesses who are selling business services (startups, legal services, business plans, business capital brokers, etc.) and check out their traffic rating on Alexa.com. This can be quite revealing--and very important: Someone you thought might be very big may only rank in the millions. (the lowest number is the best for traffic ranking. For example, Yahoo.com is #1 out of 200 million known websites in the world. IBM.com is #457, etc. which equates to phenomenal traffic. But those guys may be harder to deal with because they know how good they are. You may be doing fine at #5,000 and up. I know for a fact one of those around 5,000 is generating over 100,000 UNIQUE visits per day! That's not bad, and probably a decent target--they may be more open to negotiating.)
You can read the history about us on the About Us page. Basically, our most experienced team player has been in this industry for 30 years. I personally have been in it 21 years, and have run my own ad agency for 12 years, and have developed the site over the past year and a half. We only recently started our ad launch, which includes online ads as well as eblasts.
Submit a proposal (a formality) basically summarizing your acceptance of this project, and a rough idea how you want to go about it. I'm open to new ideas...just want results. As best as I can, I will accept every proposal so long as it makes sense and you are communicating well. (Naturally, I have to feel comfortable with your communication for you to represent us.)
Also, I know some of you are going to ask exactly what technology we'll use to track the commission. If you can win the account, we'll deal with that quickly as it comes. Don't worry about how--just get out there and sell!
