Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are seeking an experienced freelance PR & Media Consultant to support the delivery of Purple Tuesday 2025, a global campaign dedicated to improving the customer experience for disabled people.
The consultant will be responsible for:
Drafting and finalising a compelling press release ahead of Purple Tuesday.
Disseminating the release to relevant media outlets across UK and international channels.
Managing press and media requests, including interview opportunities, in the run-up to and on the day of the event.
Providing strategic advice on media positioning to ensure maximum coverage and impact.
Coordinating with our internal team to align messaging with the wider campaign.
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience in PR, media relations, and campaign management.
Strong media network and understanding of UK press landscape (international reach is a bonus).
Ability to handle time-sensitive requests and manage press activity in real time.
Clear, professional communicator with excellent writing skills.
Project details:
Budget: circa £3,000 for the full project.
Timeline: work to commence immediately, with the campaign culminating in Purple Tuesday 2025 (4th November 2025).
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, global inclusion campaign and ensure it gains the media visibility it deserves.
If you’re interested, please share your portfolio or examples of past PR/media work, along with a short proposal of how you would approach this project.
