The following is a summary of my research subject . I need someone who has experience in statistics to design and test a survey to examine the following.
The impact of national culture on middle managers’ strategic roles and their preference for influence approaches
The purpose of this cross cultural research is to explore the relationship between national cultural values of middle managers and the roles they enact during strategy development and implementation. The research will also investigate the relationship between national cultural values, middle managers’ behavior and their preferences for the influence tactics during upward and downward influences on strategy formulation and execution.
The objective of this research is to examine the impacts high and low values of three national cultural dimensions; power distance, uncertainty avoidance individualism/collectivism, on four middle managers strategic roles; championing alternatives, synthesizing information, implement deliberate strategy and facilitating adaptability. Furthermore, the research will examine the relationships between national culure dimensions and middle managers strategic roles from one side and eight influence tactics (upward appeal, exchange, rationality, ingratiation, assertiveness, blocking and calitions tactic) on the other side.
The research will examine the case in two organizations operating in the aviation sector .
