Crisis/Major Incident Management For Care Sector Organisations
Crisis management is about the immediate response to an incident, emergency, crisis or disaster that threatens to disrupt your business. In a crisis you need to know who is responsible for assessing the situation and invoking and coordinating the response. Who will lead the team, who will ensure the safety and welfare of staff and service users and who will communicate with staff, stakeholders and the media. Our integrated approach to crisis management will provide you with not just a crisis management plan, but also through our ‘exercise scenarios’ the practical skills to implement your plan.
COURSE OUTCOMES:

● How Crisis can escalate if not properly managed.
● Why it’s important to have a Crisis / Major Incident Plan
● The roles and responsibilities of the Crisis Management Team members
● What makes an effective crisis management leader
● What should you be communicating in a crisis
● Putting together a crisis communications plan
● Rehearsing common 'crisis scenarios'
● Dealing with the media (online and offline including press release writing)
● Monitoring social media before and after a crisis
● Mobilising your supporters and stakeholders
