Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I run a marketing planning consultancy (specialising in data planning and CRM) based in Slough. Most of my clients are integrated or digital agencies, where I work on a project and retainer basis across a wide portfolio of clients. Being a small business, I have to balance my time between billing days and business development.
I want to develop more business from direct clients. In the Thames Valley area, there are many: O2, Blackberry, Johnson and Johnson etc etc. My typical prospect is a company that is at a dead end with their marketing data (the database does not support their needs, their digital and data plumbing is not joined up, they can not segment their customer base etc).
I have worked for 30 years in some of the top agencies in London before setting up my business in 2009. I am not a 'techie' but a marketer that understands all the facets of data and wants to use marketing data creatively to develop brands and consumer relationships.
I am after someone who can work with me on business development, having worked in the direct mail, direct marketing or data arena in business development or account management. I do not you expect you to travel too far, so based in the Thames Valley would be ideal.
I do not expect you to understand data planning in depth, but must be able to present The MPP professionally and identify the client opportunities. I see this role as being one to nurture leads, present credentials and when an opportunity arises to pass on to me to follow through and work with me on the pitch.
I will work with the successful candidate on planning the lead generation campaign and contact strategy.
I see this as a part time role may be 2 or 3 days a week. We will need to discuss the financial details, but would be basically be an hourly rate, expenses, a appointment bonus and a % of any income.
