Compile an Excel database of independent pet shops in UK

We are looking for a freelancer who can compile a database of independent pet shops in the UK. There is then also a second-stage opportunity to call each business on the list to identify the business owner or manager. These two elements can be quoted for separately or individually (i.e. just compiling the list or just carrying out the calls, or both elements together).

Rather than buy in a mailing list, we would like to find someone who can put together a mailing list of independent pet shops in the UK. We know there are 250 pet shops in the UK but we want to exclude the large pet shop chains such as Pets at Home - we want to target the smaller independent pet shops.

The project would mean entering the business name, address and telephone number of all 250 pet shops in the UK into an Excel spreadsheet (which we can supply the template for) from online sources such as Yell.com. We will then use this list for a direct mail campaign early next year.

Candidtates can, if they wish, also quote for calling each of the pet shops in the list to identify the main prospect or person to send a direct mail campaign to (the owner or purchasing manager). This list will be reviewed by us with any existing customers deleted and so the list may be smaller than the original 250. If candidates would like to quote for both elements of the project, please provide two quotations - one for compiling the mailing list, and a second for calling each business on the list to identify the main prospect.

The project budget is only a guide for compiling the list.
