Market Research (accountancy background required)

Need research done on market size and breakdown of a particular sector in the UK and Ireland. A background of accountancy is required as you will need to be able to read and parse filed accounts in UK Companies House and Ireland Companies Registration Office.

Login to company search environment will be provided so searches will all be free.


About 4 hours work tops.

Required

1. Research companies in various sub sectors by product (top 10 companies in google.co.uk and google.ie)
- four subsectors (search by keyword)
- list what companies are in more than one sector (overlap)

2. Find ultimate owner of each of the top 10 sites in each sector. (should be about 20-30 companies given overlaps, companies selling multiple products) So about 40-60 companies in total.
3. Research their company accounts (login to company search environment will be provided)
4. Extrapolate UK and Ireland market size from turnover figures, and contribution of each subsector to overall turnover. Just guess work will do here. Multiply sum of all turnovers by 2.

Give all data back in excel formatted nicely.
