Magento Modification - "Product Selector Grid and Results Table"

We are currently in the early stages of developing an eCommerce solution for a client that wishes to sell downloadable products online.

The web-end of the solution, powered by Magento Community, must be modified to allow online users to select product attributes, for relevant products to be displayed in a results table, and then allow the user to select which of the results they want to buy- all on one page. After the user is happy with the result table selection, a buy button will be pressed, directing the user to the checkout page.

We have designed the layout, of the single page 'Product Selector Grid and Results Table', including other page functionality described in the designs themselves.
