Magento Ecommerce Developer wanted

I am looking for an experienced magento ecommerce developer to help me build our new shopping cart online. The site is for our new online jewellery shop and whilst we have a certain understanding of how the web works we would perhaps look to take your advice on a few points too. We are looking to start this as soon as we can, but we need to find the right person to help us with it and we understand that we will have to pay a deposit up front (new to this site, so forgive me if this is the normal anyway.
