Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am looking for an illustrator for two children's books which I want to publish in Kindle and elsewhere on-line.
The books have lots of humour but also a warm-hearted feel.
Aiming for an age group of 7-9 years.
"Pizza Delivery" is short at c 3000 words. I would need a colour cover plus two internal illustrations. At present I am not certain if the internals would look best as b/w or in colour.
"Mr McMarvel's Machines" is c 20,000 words and again I would need a colour cover, and probably 8 internal pictures. I think the internals would look better in line to bring out the humour of the zany machines and characters, but am open to suggestions.
Depending on the success of these two, I would look publish more on-line, so an artist to work with, to give a recognisable identity to my publications over a longer period, would be great.
Whilst I am primarily looking to publish on-line, depending again on the success, I may wish to paper publish later. I would ideally want the freedom of the right to publish both on-line and in hard copy.
I am putting up a separate request for a proof reader/editor who can also set up the text and pictures for Kindle and other on-line media, but can combine aspects of the work if appropriate.
